Johnny Lökke is back with his hard-hitting euro-style of heavy metal, once again drawing heavy comparisons to Judas Priest and Iron Maiden. "Wrecking Ball", Lökke's second cd, also features Scot Goacher on drums and includes special guest Stefan Leibing of the supergroup Primal Fear on songs "Human Race" and "Down to London".
While most of the world is busy trying to jump on the rap-rock bandwagon and bands are switching musical styles so fast it makes your head swim, Johnny Lökke stays true to what he believes in...classic heavy metal.
"I've played this way all my life, why would I want to change now?" says Lökke. "To me, true metal is basic...two guitars, solid bass, double kick drums, fast leads and screaming yet melodic vocals. Trying to bring in a turntable as an instrument and calling it metal is rubbish!"
On Wrecking Ball, Lökke dishes out 12 hard-hitting songs that kick off with a bang. "I open the cd with the title track, because I try to always start each cd with a song specifically written for my fans. Wrecking Ball is my way of saying 'Come on...together we're gonna crush all these nu-rock bands calling themselves metal...and I can only do it because you give me the power'."
A special treat on this cd is that Primal Fear guitarist Stefan Leibing contributes blistering solo's on two tracks "Human Race" and "Down to London".
If you have been disappointed by the music scene lately, you owe it to yourself to check out "Wrecking Ball". You'll have your fist in the air and a smile on your face from start to finish. So what are you waiting for?

"Just listened through the `excerpts` from your new CD and would
like to wish you MY BEST COMPLIMENTS for creating some tasteful Rock Songs
in the `old school` vein."
Sean Delares, Wichita KS
"Another local boy makes good. It's nice to know metal is alive
and well here in Kansas! I didn't think you could top the first cd, but
you did it."
Ken Hynick, El Cajon, CA
"I received your cd's last Friday. Thanks for the quick service. Some
cd's I order take up to a month. I have been listening to both cd's since
Friday. First your vocals are awesome. I have been listening to heavy
metal since 1979 when I first heard Judas Priest. So usually the first
thing I check out is the vocals. I just read the reviews from electric
basement and maximum metal. I think the guy from maximum metal got it
right. I have over 350 cd's here at home so i'm always listening to something.
I would say 90% of my collection is power metal. Early Warning and Wrecking
Ball really impressed me.My favorites on Early Warning are Early Warning,
Another Lost Soul (one of the best songs I ever heard),Hard Rain, and
Starman. On Wrecking Ball my favorites are Wrecking Ball, Down to London,War,
and Sins of the World. Just stay on the same path and keep Heavy Metal
alive and don't forget to keep hitting those high notes."
"All musicians have their own style of music, their own way of doing things and that's ok. My way is just better."
